Shoei Riders Fill the Podium in Jerez!
Shoei riders have dominated the first two rounds of the new Moto2 class in the MotoGP series. This class offers an opportunity for young riders to prove themselves against a full grid of nearly identical machines. In fact, the power plants of the entire field are identical Honda 600cc engines. Only the chassis varies by team. This combination provides for incredibly competitive racing, with multiple lead changes often occurring during a single lap!
Shoei rider Toni Elias rode to a popular win in front of his Spanish countrymen. Series points leader, Shoya Tomizawa has been the surprise of the year! Prior to 2010, 15th was his highest finish ever. He’s currently leading the points following his second place finish this weekend. Long time Shoei racer Thomas Luthi rounded out the podium to make it a clean Shoei sweep!
