Born and raised in Texas, Garrett Gerloff grew up watching his father race motocross, and quickly developed a passion for anything with wheels and a motor. At the age of four, Garrett got a motorcycle of his own (Yamaha PW-50), and after years of riding in the dirt, he eventually made the switch to asphalt before even reaching his teens. Focusing all of his energy into evolving his road racing skills and slowly working his way up through the ranks, Gerloff turned professional at age 16 and won his first-ever race as a pro in 2011.
Having battled hard aboard a Graves Yamaha since 2012, Gerloff finally realized a childhood dream in 2016 when he took home the number one plate in the MotoAmerica Supersport class. A hard-fought season filled with some epic clashes with teammate JD Beach, Gerloff eventually captured the title at the final race of the series at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Though determined to defend his championship in 2017 aboard the all-new Yamaha YZF-R6, Gerloff ultimately has his sights set on stepping up to the premier Superbike class in 2018 and beyond!
